Public Art for Community Transformation

PACT is a summer “mural crew” program that unites local artists, community members and the youth of our area. We have learned that this program has been a pivotal part of cultivating and expressing the uniqueness and diversity found in Geneva.

Started in 2023, PACT operates as a part of GRAF, and in collaboration with Hobart and William Smith, Ontario County Workforce Development, and multi-generational members of the community.

​PACT is a research and social action project under the direction of HWS Professor Michelle Martin-Baron and GRAF President Victor Pultinas, that strives to transform public spaces through art that sparks discourse and cultivates diversity.

PACT has successfully completed five murals over four years: two on the campus of HWS, one in the tunnel on Exchange Street next to Phoenix Flavors, and two on Castle Street.
